Tertiary lyme disease
|
Tertiary Lyme disease is a late, persistent inflammatory disease characterized by skin changes, neurological and musculoskeletal symptoms caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi transmitted by the bite of a deer tick. Tertiary Lyme disease is indicated by chronic arthritis.
