Renal Artery Stenosis

Definition Renal artery stenosis is a narrowing or blockage of the artery that supplies the kidney, caused by atherosclerosis, fibromuscular dysplasia of the renal artery wall, or scar formation in the artery. (See also atheroembolic renal disease.)
