Definition

Poisoning from an overdose of eugenol oil (clove oil).

Symptoms & Signs

body as a whole
respiratory
- shallow breathing--may also be rapid
- coughing up blood
eyes, ears, nose, and throat
- burns in mouth and throat
skin
- irritation to exposed areas
gastrointestinal
heart and blood vessels
- rapid heartbeat
nervous system
- unconsciousness
- dizziness
