Definition The CSF-VDRL test is used to diagnose neurosyphilis (syphilis associated with brain or neurologic involvement). This test detects the presence of reaginic antibodies in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which is the fluid that surrounds the spinal cord and brain.
