Coccidioidomycosis Complications

  • Pleural effusion
  • Relapse of infection
  • Spread of the infection throughout the body
  • Complications from medications. In particular, amphotericin B may cause fever, chills, and nausea while it is being given, and may cause abnormal kidney tests after many doses.
